Following the monumental success of Hades, Supergiant Games returns with Hades II, a sequel that aims not just to replicate its predecessor but to stand out with new mechanics and a fresh heroine, Mélinoé, princess of the Underworld. From the very first moments of gameplay, a significant difference is evident: Hades II is not merely trying to be "bigger" than its predecessor but to provide a distinct experience. Mélinoé employs a more fluid and tactical combat style compared to Zagreus. Her dash allows her to glide around enemies instead of charging through them. Her special attacks and magical abilities, such as the Omega Attacks, add a new layer of strategic depth to battles.
